Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what You may not do with Minion. It is part of Our Terms of Service . Minion is operated by 1059105 B.C. Ltd., doing business as Data McFly ("We", "Us" or "Our"). "You" means anyone who uses Minion, including the AI assistants and packages You run with it.

Minion lets AI assistants run code, store secrets, call other services, send and receive email, and serve web pages. Those are powerful tools, so this policy applies to everything they do on Your behalf. You are responsible for what Your Team's assistants, packages, jobs, webhooks and apps do.

You may not use Minion to

  • Break the law. Do anything illegal, or help someone else do it, in Canada or where You or the people affected are.
  • Harm people. Harass, threaten, stalk or defame anyone, or share their private information without permission.
  • Send spam or abuse email. Use the team inbox or email sending to send bulk or unsolicited messages, phishing, or mail that pretends to come from someone else.
  • Spread malware. Store, run, serve or send viruses, ransomware, credential stealers or other malicious code.
  • Attack systems. Scan, probe or attack any network or service without its owner's permission, run denial-of-service attacks, or use Minion to get around another service's security or rate limits.
  • Attack Minion. Try to break out of the sandbox, reach Minion's internal systems, read other Teams' data, get around plan limits or usage counters, or interfere with other users.
  • Misuse other services. Use connected accounts, API keys or integrations in ways that break the provider's own terms, or access accounts and data You are not authorized to use.
  • Host harmful pages. Serve phishing pages, malware, or content that impersonates another company or person from a package app or webhook.
  • Infringe rights. Share content or code that You don't have the right to use, or that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or privacy.
  • Exploit children. Create, store or share any content that sexualizes or endangers minors.
  • Resell without permission. Resell, sublicense or rebrand the Service as Your own, or share one Account among people who should each have their own.

Public apps and webhooks

Package apps set to public, and webhook URLs, can be reached by anyone on the internet. You are responsible for what they serve and accept. Keep secrets out of public apps unless You mean anonymous visitors to use them, and protect any action that changes data.

Security research

If You find a security problem in Minion, tell Us at hello@minion.codes before sharing it with anyone else, and give Us a reasonable time to fix it. Don't access, change or delete other users' data while You look, and don't run tests that degrade the Service for others.

What We may do

If We believe You have broken this policy, We may, without notice:

  • remove or disable the content, package, app, webhook or integration involved;
  • pause or limit scheduled jobs, email, or other features;
  • suspend or terminate Your Account or Team, as described in the Terms of Service ;
  • report illegal activity to the authorities and cooperate with them.

We may also act when We need to protect the Service, Our users or other people, even if this policy doesn't name the exact behavior.

Reporting abuse

To report abuse of Minion, including spam from a team inbox, a malicious app or a compromised account, email hello@minion.codes with as much detail as You can, such as links, email headers and times.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. If You keep using Minion after a change, You accept the updated policy.
