This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You. We use Your Personal Data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Email address
- Name, if You provide one
- Usage Data
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. When You sign in, We record Your Device's Internet Protocol address (IP address) and browser user agent with Your session. Your activity log records account actions such as password changes, invitations, exports and notification changes, with the time they happened. We also keep records of when the AI clients and API keys connected to Your Team were last used, and daily counts of how much of the Service Your Team uses (see "What Minion stores" below).
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools on the Website or in the application.
Cookies and Browser Storage
We use a small number of Cookies, all administered by Us, and none for advertising or tracking.
- Necessary / Essential Cookies. In the Minion application, sign-in session Cookies keep You signed in, help to authenticate users and prevent fraudulent use of user accounts. Without these Cookies, the services that You have asked for cannot be provided, and We only use these Cookies to provide You with those services. The application may also set a server session Cookie whose stored data expires after 30 minutes.
- Functionality Cookies. On the Website, a
themeCookie remembers whether You chose the light, dark or system color theme. It lasts up to one year and is only set when You use the theme switcher.
The application also uses Your browser's local storage to remember display preferences, such as Your color theme and whether the sidebar is collapsed. This stays in Your browser and is not sent to Us.
Cookies can be Persistent or Session Cookies. Persistent Cookies remain on Your personal computer or mobile device when You go offline, while Session Cookies are deleted as soon as You close Your web browser. You can instruct Your browser to refuse all Cookies or to indicate when a Cookie is being sent. However, if You do not accept Cookies, You will not be able to sign in to the application.
What Minion stores
This section describes the data the Minion application keeps to provide the Service. Unless noted otherwise, it belongs to Your Team and can be seen and used by the members of that Team, according to their roles.
- Account data. Your email address, Your name if You give one, a profile image if You add one, Your password (stored only as a one-way bcrypt hash), whether Your email address is verified, and Your sign-in sessions (with IP address and browser user agent).
- Team data. Your Team's name and address slug, its members and their roles, pending invitations (including the invited email address), and the API keys and AI client connections (OAuth grants) that let tools like Claude or ChatGPT act for the Team.
- Packages. The code and files of packages You or Your AI assistant save, every saved version, and their check results. Data a package stores for itself is kept in the Service's database. If Your Team uses package SQL storage, it gets its own database on a separate internal database server that We operate.
- Secrets. Secret values are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored. No part of the Service returns a secret value to You, to Your AI assistant or to package code: package code refers to a secret by name, and the value is inserted only into outbound requests to hosts You have approved for that secret. Known secret values are removed from stored run results and logs. A secret's name, description and approved hosts are not encrypted and can be searched.
- Memories and notes. Memories and notes Your assistant or Team members save, including earlier versions of notes. Notes saved as scratchpads with an expiry time are deleted automatically after they expire.
- Team inbox mail. Email sent to Your Team's inbox address (and replies or messages sent from it) is stored with its headers, text, attachments and a copy of the raw message. Mail is kept until a member of Your Team deletes it or the Team is deleted; deleting a message also deletes its stored files. When You view an HTML email in the application, remote images and tracking pixels are blocked.
- Connected accounts (integrations). When You connect a third-party service through OAuth, the access and refresh tokens (and the client secret of an OAuth app You register) are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored. Tokens are only sent to the API hosts approved for that connection.
- Run history and logs. Each run of code, a scheduled job, a webhook, an event handler or a package app is recorded with its status, timing, result, logs and any error, with known secret values removed and sizes capped. Run history is kept while Your Team exists. The bodies of incoming webhook requests are cleared after 24 hours, and webhook delivery records are deleted after 30 days.
- Usage counters. Daily counts per member of things like code runs, outbound requests, job runs and emails sent and received, used to apply plan limits.
- Notifications. Your notification settings, a record of notifications sent to You (deleted after 30 days) and, if You turn on browser push notifications, Your browser's push subscription.
- Billing. If Your Team subscribes to a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe through Stripe Checkout. We store Your Team's Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan and subscription status. Your card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and are not received or stored by Us.
Use of Your Personal Data
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service and apply plan limits.
- To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered user.
- For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance and undertaking of the purchase contract for the products, items or services You have purchased or of any other contract with Us through the Service.
- To contact You: To contact You by email, or by browser push notifications if You turn them on, regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products or contracted services, including the security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation.
- To provide You with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless You have opted not to receive such information.
- To manage Your requests: To attend and manage Your requests to Us.
- For business transfers: We may use Your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Data held by Us about our Service users is among the assets transferred.
- For other purposes: We may use Your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends and to evaluate and improve our Service, products, services and your experience.
We do not sell Your Personal Data, and We do not use the content You store in Minion for advertising.
We may share Your personal information in the following situations:
- With Service Providers: We may share Your personal information with the Service Providers listed below, to host and operate the Service, process payments, deliver email and provide search.
- With services You connect: When an AI client You connect (for example Claude or ChatGPT) asks Minion to act, it receives the results it asked for. When Your packages call a third-party API or a remote MCP server You added, that service receives the request, including any credential You approved for it.
- For business transfers: We may share or transfer Your personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of Our business to another company.
- With Affiliates: We may share Your information with Our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include Our parent company and any other subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that We control or that are under common control with Us.
- With other users: Content in a Team is visible to the members of that Team. If You choose to make something public, such as a public package app or a public skills library, anyone with its address can see or use it.
- With Your consent: We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose with Your consent.
Service providers we use
- Stripe processes subscription payments and stores payment details.
- Cloudflare receives and delivers email for Team inbox addresses through Cloudflare Email Routing and Email Workers, and sends outgoing inbox mail.
- OpenAI, when search embeddings are enabled, receives text to compute search embeddings: search queries, memory text, the title, tags and first part of notes, package names, descriptions and readmes, skill descriptions, and secret names, descriptions and approved hosts. Secret values and OAuth tokens are never sent.
- Hosting providers. The Minion application runs on servers We manage, with a database and an object storage bucket (for inbox mail and attachments) provided by infrastructure providers that store this data on Our behalf.
- Browser push services. If You turn on push notifications, notifications are delivered through the push service run by Your browser's vendor.
Retention of Your Personal Data
We keep Your Personal Data only as long as We need it for the purposes in this Privacy Policy, to comply with Our legal obligations, to resolve disputes and to enforce Our agreements. Here is how long each kind of data is kept today:
- Team content (packages, package storage, secrets, memories, notes, integrations, team inbox mail and its attachments): until a member of Your Team deletes it, or the Team is deleted.
- Run history and logs: for as long as Your Team exists. They are deleted when the Team is deleted.
- Webhook request bodies: cleared 24 hours after they arrive. Webhook delivery records are deleted after 30 days.
- Scratchpad notes with an expiry time: deleted automatically when they expire.
- Notification records: deleted after 30 days.
- Usage counters and activity logs: for as long as the Team exists. We use them to apply plan limits and to keep the Service secure.
- Account record: when You delete Your Account, Your sign-in sessions, API keys, AI client connections and push subscriptions are removed at once. A record of the Account, marked as deleted, is kept with Your name and an altered email address so it can't be reused or confused with a new account. To have that record erased as well, email Us at hello@minion.codes and We will erase it, unless We must keep it to meet a legal obligation.
- Billing records: Stripe keeps payment records under its own retention rules. We keep Your Team's Stripe customer and subscription identifiers while the Team exists.
We may set shorter retention periods for some of this data in future. If We do, We will update this section.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from Your jurisdiction.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer.
The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of Your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of Your data and other personal information.
Your choices
- Export. A Team owner can download the Team's data as a JSON file from the Team settings, or ask their AI assistant to run
account.export. The export leaves out secret values, encrypted tokens and other credentials; secrets are listed by name and details only. - Delete a Team. A Team owner can delete the Team from the Team settings. This cancels any active subscription, stops scheduled work, revokes connected accounts and AI client access, drops the Team's SQL database, deletes its stored files (such as inbox mail), and deletes the Team's content.
- Delete Your Account. You can delete Your Account from Your account settings after confirming Your password. This removes You from every Team and ends Your sessions, AI client connections, API keys and push subscriptions, and the Account can no longer be used. Content You created in a Team stays with that Team. Your Account record is kept, marked as deleted; contact Us if You want it erased.
- Disconnect services. You can disconnect a connected account or an AI client at any time, and You can also revoke Minion's access with the provider.
- Notifications. You can change or turn off email digests, alerts and push notifications in Your notification settings.
Delete Your Personal Data
You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You.
Our Service gives You the ability to delete certain information about You from within the Service, as described in "Your choices" above. You may also contact Us to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that You have provided to Us.
Please note, however, that We may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Business Transactions
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
Law enforcement
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).
Other legal requirements
The Company may disclose Your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation
- Protect and defend the rights or property of the Company
- Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
- Protect the personal safety of Users of the Service or the public
- Protect against legal liability
Security of Your Personal Data
The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Minion staff can sign in to the application as a user to provide support. Each such session is recorded in Your activity log with the IP address it came from, lasts at most one hour, and cannot be used to connect AI clients.
Children's Privacy
Our Service is for people aged 18 and over, as set out in our Terms of Service . We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 18, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
We will let You know via email and/or a prominent notice on Our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
