Needs attention

The Waiting page and minion.waiting.list: what only a person can clear (approvals, reconnects, expiring secrets, failing jobs) and the link to clear each one.

When something in your organization needs a person to act, Minion lists it on the Waiting page at /app/waiting . Your agent can read the same list with minion.waiting.list() and send you the exact link to clear each item.

The list is built from live state each time you load the page or call the capability. There is nothing to mark as read or dismiss. An item goes away when the condition behind it is gone. When nothing needs you, the list is empty.

What shows up

Items are grouped on the page. Each one links to the place where you fix it.

  • Approvals: a secret waiting for a host approval, a webhooks.apply request to approve, new or changed tools on a remote MCP server, and skills an agent proposed. Approvals stay with people: you approve on the page, never the agent.
  • Your account: your own email address needs verifying.
  • Tasks: a task reminder that couldn't be delivered.
  • Reconnect: an OAuth integration that needs reconnecting, or a remote MCP server that disconnected.
  • Quarantined mail: mail held in the team inbox that you can release or block.
  • Secrets: secrets that expire within 7 days, or already have.
  • Runs and jobs: failed runs, jobs whose last run failed, and jobs still waiting for their first successful run.
  • Plan usage: worker compute nearing the plan's monthly include, and prepaid credits that are empty, low, or whose auto-refill failed.

Titles and links come from the item itself. For example a failed job links to /app/jobs , a failed run to /app/runs , a secret to /app/secrets , and quarantined mail to /app/inbox .

To clear a failed run or job: fix the cause and get one successful run, or mark the run ignored or resolved (see Activity ). To clear an expiring secret: rotate the value and set a new expiry date. To clear a usage item: wait for the counter to reset (monthly worker compute resets at the start of the UTC month) or move to a plan with more room.

The Needs attention card on the dashboard is a shorter summary of the same kind of thing and links to the pages above.

Who can clear what

Each item says who can act: "you", "any member", "owners and admins" or "owners". Items are limited to what the signed-in member's role can clear, so an empty list for a member can still mean an owner has something to do.

Can my agent read it?

Yes. minion.waiting.list() returns the current queue, and minion.account.waitingSummary() is the same call under another name:

export default async function main() {
	const { count, items, waitingUrl } = await minion.waiting.list()
	return { count, waitingUrl, items: items.map((i) => ({ title: i.title, who: i.who, actionUrl: i.actionUrl })) }
}

Each item has a kind, title, detail, since, who and an absolute actionUrl. When an agent is blocked on a person, it should send that person the item's actionUrl (or waitingUrl for the whole list) instead of saying "check the dashboard". Items disappear once cleared, so call it again after the person says they're done.

This is current state, not history. For what ran and what failed, use minion.runs.list. To dig into a failed run, see Activity .
